Colonel Gildas Prêcheur has built a distinguished career at the intersection of military operations and energy management. Since August 2024, he has served as Deputy Director and Chief of Staff of the NATO ENSEC COE.
Over the past decade, he has held strategic positions within the French Armed Forces, specializing in operational energy and logistics. He served as Deputy of the Energy Policy and Anticipation Office at the French Armed Forces General Staff in Paris. He also led the Doctrine and International Relations Section at the Operational Headquarters of the Fuel Service.
His international experience includes deployments in Djibouti, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan under NATO missions. He played a key leadership role in fuel crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognized for his expertise in energy security, he contributes to strengthening resilience in complex environments.
He holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Products from IFP School and an Engineering Diploma from Saint-Cyr Military Academy. He also completed advanced military studies at the French War College.
