Natural Gas Importers Association (GAZİD) Natural Gas Importers Association – GAZID was founded by private sector natural gas importers of Turkey in July 2017, aiming to support liberalization process of natural gas sector in Turkey. Members of GAZID are Akfel, Avrasya Gaz, Batı Hattı, Bosphorus Gaz, Enerco Enerji, Kibar Enerji, Shell Enerji natural gas importers by pipeline, and Ege Gaz by LNG.

GAZİD, aiming to contribute to the liberalization and development of the energy market, especially Turkish natural gas market, continues its activities with seven member companies.

GAZİD, which has contributed to the processes of making natural gas, one of the most important sources of Turkish energy market, available for consumption in a competitive, stable, fair and transparent market structure, has participated in many dialogue platforms with the public and private sectors to date. Conveying its experience and knowledge in the processes of market structure formation proposed by the regulatory regime in line with Turkey’s energy policies and strategies, GAZİD will contribute to the process of development of the natural gas market in line with modern norms in the following process.

GAZİD aims to create and develop all value chains of the natural gas market in a sustainable structure, supports the “Natural Gas Exchange” which will form the basis of the future of Turkish natural gas market in the future, and works for the formation of it on a sustainable foundation. Adopting a systematic work program to make Turkish natural gas market reach the level of successful examples in the developed and contemporary markets, especially increasing the real liquidity in the market, GAZİD aims to establish international information platforms on experience and ‘know-how’ sharing.
