As Head of Payments, Cash Management and Open Banking, Giancarlo is in charge of all payments products and Open Banking activities in Intesa Sanpaolo.

In his career, he has covered various roles in digital and payments areas in Intesa Sanpaolo; from 2014 to 2016 he temporary left Intesa Sanpaolo to build a brand new digital bank (Widiba).

Recognized as an international and successful Business and Technology Leader, Innovator, and Strategist is member or indirectly involved in all main committees and entities in payments and open banking area at Italian and European level: PSMEG Member @DG Fisma, CBI Board Member, Italian Payment System Committee representative (both Comitato Pagamenti Italia and Comitato Tecnico Servizi di Pagamento).
