Profile
Dr. Geoff Swain is the Director of the Center for Corrosion and Biofouling Control and holds the Hermansen Chair in Ocean Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). He joined FIT in 1984 and established the Center which is fully staffed, has a laboratory on campus, and seawater test facilities at Port Canaveral. They have active research grants with the Office of Naval Research, and shipping, offshore energy and coatings Industries. He has authored over 100 publications, is a member of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology, and the Marine Biological Association of the U.K.
