Garima is a Staff Engineering in the viral vector process development group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, focused on developing bioprocesses for Adeno-associated virus (AAV) based viral vectors to cure diseases such as Hemophilia B, congenital hearing loss, and Pompe disease. In April 2026 the first AAV therapy for hearing loss, Otarmeni™, was FDA-approved. She has worked at Regeneron since 2022, focusing on developing purification processes and platforms for biotherapeutics including antibodies and gene therapies as well as process scale-up and technology transfer. Garima received her doctorate in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
