Jesse D. McCool, Ph.D., is President and Chief Operating Officer of GBI Bio and an accomplished biotechnology executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning biologics development, CDMO operations, manufacturing, and company building. He has held senior leadership roles at GBI Bio, Our Blood Institute, Bionova Scientific, Cytovance Biologics, and Lonza, and previously co-founded and served as CEO of Wheeler Bio. Throughout his career, Jesse has built high-performing organizations, scaled complex operations, raised start-up and growth capital, and advanced innovative manufacturing platforms for antibodies, plasmid DNA, and other complex biologics. He earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
