Lisa Stanek, Ph.D. is a senior life sciences R&D executive with more than 20 years of experience providing scientific and strategic leadership across gene therapy, therapeutic delivery platforms, and aging biology. She currently serves as Senior Vice President of R&D at Life Biosciences, where she oversees R&D strategy and portfolio execution and recently delivered a successful IND through a capital-efficient, externalized development model.

Dr. Stanek has advanced multiple first-in-class programs from discovery through IND across neurologic, ocular, metabolic, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular indications. She brings deep expertise in scientific governance, regulatory strategy, portfolio prioritization, and risk oversight, and regularly partners with executive teams and boards on investment decisions and value-inflection planning. Her prior experience includes senior leadership roles at Affinia Therapeutics and more than a decade at Sanofi Genzyme.
