Dr. Ran Chen is Associate Director of Process Development Downstream at Shanghai Henlius Bioscience. He received his PhD in Technical Chemistry from the University of Hannover, Germany, in 2011. Since joining Henlius in 2017, he has led the development and application of advanced technologies, including continuous manufacturing and digital twin–enabled purification. His expertise spans process modelling, PAT, and data analytics. Dr. Chen serves as an expert in the ICH Q13 working group of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) and is a member of the Drug R&D Specialty Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Innovation and Research Development Association (PhIRDA).
