Veera Padmanabhan is Head of Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) at AstraZeneca, based in Frederick, Maryland. With over 25 years of biopharma experience spanning AstraZeneca, Bayer/Monsanto, and DuPont, he brings deep expertise in biologics manufacturing, CMC/regulatory strategy, information management, global analytical network strategy, and digital transformation. Veera has led the launch of several biologics across multiple countries and spearheaded a global analytical testing network that enabled the delivery of three billion COVID-19 vaccine doses. A Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he champions predictive analytics and AI-driven process innovation to advance autonomous, next-generation biomanufacturing. He holds a Ph.D. and an MBA and is recognized as a thought leader at the intersection of science, operations, and digital transformation in the life sciences.
