Vida Rahmatnejad is currently an upstream process development scientist at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, where she has been leading the process development for a fusion protein since joining in 2023. Prior to her time at Alexion, Vida worked as an intern within cell therapy engineering and development group at Genentech and conducted research in the microenvironmental engineering laboratory at Clemson University. Vida holds a PhD degree in chemical and biochemical engineering from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where she worked on developing a noninvasive bioprocess monitoring system.
