Xiaolin Zhang is an Associate Principal Scientist in the Biologics Process R&D group at Merck & Co., Inc. She specializes in upstream process development and characterization for fed‑batch and perfusion, and has supported and led program from clinical stage through BLA approval (BLA granted in 2025). Over the past three years she has primarily managed team responsible for mAb and ADC drug‑substance process development. Xiaolin holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed postdoctoral work in Kelvin Lee’s lab at the University of Delaware. She is an inventor on two patents in E. coli and CHO cell engineering.
