Yi Wang is a Senior Scientist in the Vaccine Analytical Research and Development (VAR&D) department at Merck, based in West Point, Pennsylvania. Yi received a B.E. in Polymer Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China, in 2016, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University, PA, in 2021. Her doctoral research focused on characterizing protein conformational changes using microfluidics and fluorescence microscopy.

Shortly after graduation, Yi joined the High Throughput Analytics group within VAR&D at Merck, where she has supported multiple vaccine programs. She has developed expertise in large‑molecule analytics, with a focus on lab automation and high‑throughput techniques, and plays a key role in advancing analytical approaches for vaccine drug substance and drug product development studies. In this capacity, she also collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive the implementation of innovative analytical solutions.
