Alexandre KerckhovePhD Student at Institut Agro Rennes Angers – IRHSSpeaker
Profile
I hold a master’s degree in plant biology, biotechnology, and agronomy, with a focus on biosolutions to improve agricultural practices. My research began during an internship in collaboration with BCF Life Sciences and the Institute of Research in Horticulture and Seeds, where I studied the impact of the biostimulant Leafamine® on lettuce roots under water deficit. This work continued into my PhD, with the improvement of the rhizobox system to apply controlled drought stress and the development of dedicated software for automated root analysis. Presenting my first findings at the Biostimulants World Congress 2024 in Miami was a milestone that greatly enriched my scientific journey.
