I am a molecular biologist and agritech innovator, passionate about translating fundamental science into real-world impact. I co-founded SugaROx Ltd, an academic spinout developing next-generation biostimulants to improve crop yield and resilience. As Chief Technology Officer, I lead cross-disciplinary R&D, regulatory and manufacturing programmes, and global field trials, while driving company strategy and investment.

Alongside this, I am a Senior Research Scientist at Rothamsted Research, where my work focuses on the molecular regulation of source–sink dynamics and metabolic fluxes in crops, aiming to enhance carbon–nitrogen balance and productivity. I have secured over £6M in competitive funding, and have published in Nature, Nature Biotechnology, and PNAS.

I serve on several national and international advisory panels, review for leading journals and funding bodies, and mentor early-stage founders. Passionate about turning science into real world benefit.
