Profile
A biologist by training, I am interested in biology applied to space environment and space technologies.
My PhD studies are part of the Micro-Ecological Life Support System Alternative (MELiSSA), an ESA initiative. More precisely, my work is part of the ARTEMISS project focusing on 𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘢 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢 behavior in space (ISS) mainly at a proteomic, lipidomic and metabolomic level. 𝘓. 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢, a cyanobacteria, is foreseen as a promising oxygen and food producer in future life support systems in space stations. Another interesting aspect of my research is to study 𝘓. 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢 as a biostimulant for edible plants, were I focus my interest on plant growth, flower production and stress tolerance.
