Profile
Gifford Gillette grew up on an Idaho potato farm and pursued his passion for science through degrees in Ecology (BS), Biology (MS), and Natural Resources (PhD). He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship, expanding a multi-agency research initiative with farmers to assess the Conservation Reserve Program for the Farm Service Agency. Early career, Giff published six scientific articles in upland game research. The past eight years, his private-sector research has focused on developing a new agronomic standard—demonstrating nitrogen and phosphorus inputs can be reduced by half when biostimulants are a primary input. Giff’s greatest passion is raising four boys with his wife physically active and outdoors.
