WHO Guidelines for General Hygiene at BPI Asia Next Week
It’s business as usual and we continue to closely monitor the situation from official sources including the World Health Organisation and Japan’s government and local authorities. Our number one priority is the safety of our delegates and colleagues attending our events. Considering the recent virus outbreaks in Wuhan China, we encourage all attendees to follow WHO guidelines for general hygiene at our event in Japan next week.

A small number of attendees have told us they are now unable to travel either because they are from China or have recently visited China and are taking health precautions, or their companies have a particular policy in place around travel. This is only the case in a very few situations right now.

Our number one priority is the safety of our delegates and colleagues attending our events. Considering the recent virus outbreaks in Wuhan China, we encourage all attendees to follow WHO guidelines for general hygiene at our event in Japan next week.

Please wash your hands frequently - Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or if your hands are not visibly dirty use the alcohol-based hand sanitiser available at the Informa registration area or in the exhibition hall.

Practice respiratory hygiene - When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – discard tissue immediately into a closed bin and clean your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water.

Maintain social distancing - Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and other people, particularly those who are coughing or sneezing.

Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early

It’s business as usual and we continue to closely monitor the situation from official sources including the World Health Organisation and Japan’s government and local authorities. We are part of an international organisation with dedicated health, safety, security and travel experts, who are monitoring developments, sharing relevant information with our team and providing and confirming guidance.

We will be prominently displaying reminders about good hygiene practices throughout the event.
