Stefan Sandström is the founder and CEO of Biosector, a Tokyo-based commercialization partner supporting non-Japanese companies in Japan.

For almost 20 years, Stefan has lived and worked in Japan, helping international companies establish, build and sustain business with Japanese pharmaceutical companies. Stefan has helped CROs, CDMOs, biomanufacturing organizations, supply partners and others. With an academic background in Chemical Engineering and Medicine from Sweden, he combines scientific understanding with hands-on commercial experience in one of the world’s most demanding markets.

Through Biosector, Stefan's work focuses on strategic positioning, key account development, partnership building, and practical execution in Japan’s complex B2B environment.

He also writes a prize-winning blog.
