Sumiko Hasegawa is an Associate Director of Downstream Process Development in Biotherapeutics Process Development Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. She has more than 15 years of experience in downstream process development for biologics, with a focus on monoclonal antibodies and mAb-like proteins, technology transfer to manufacturing sites, and regulatory submission support. She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering and a Ph.D. in Bioscience. In her current role, she leads downstream development activities supporting both early- and late-stage biotherapeutic programs and contributes to the advancement of robust and scalable manufacturing processes.
