With two decades of expertise in device development—including bioreactors—process engineering, and project management at Hitachi, I have led numerous pharmaceutical facility projects worldwide for high-potency drug substances and biologics. Since joining Takeda in 2010, I have spearheaded Japan’s first GMP manufacturing of therapeutic antibodies at production scale, helping establish foundational capabilities in biologics. Focused on advancing biologics process development through cutting-edge technologies such as automation and continuous processing, I hold a Ph.D. in Life Science and an MBA (MOT) from Yamaguchi University, along with a JDLA Deep Learning for GENERAL Certificate. I also serve as Biopharmaceutical COP Leader of the ISPE Japan Affiliate and as a representative on the Biopharmaceutical Committee of the JPMA.
