Manos Tzortzakakis is a dedicated Scientist in Drug Substance group within Biopharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca. He leads the N-1 perfusion development team and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of AstraZeneca’s Intensified Fed Batch platform process. Manos earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he contributed to the Vaccine Production Program at the Vaccine Research Center, NIAID, NIH, working in the Cell Culture Development group. His expertise and innovative contributions continue to advance drug substance manufacturing processes.
