Merete leads the Environmental Sustainability team, supporting the Life Science Businesses of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Her passion is to deliver solutions that reduces operational cost, drives revenue and supports customers and Thermo Fisher’s sustainability goals. A main priority is to contribute to our company goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. To achieve this ambitious goal the team is working on reducing energy consumption, electrification and switching to green energy sources, achieving zero waste at our sites globally, creating more sustainable products and delivery methods and identifying product takeback and recycling solutions for product waste and packaging.

Merete has 20+ years experience applying Safety, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability and Productivity principles to daily operations, new construction, new operations and building shutdowns in the life science industry.
