Peter Amaya joined MedImmune/AstraZeneca in 2017 working on upstream process development of cell and protein therapies. Currently he is focused on CMC strategy and development of fed-batch and integrated-continuous manufacturing processes. He earned his Bachelors degree at University of Dayton in Chemical Engineering and PhD at the Ohio State University in Biomedical Engineering where he developed processes for separation and characterization of human peripheral blood cells and developed processes for production of therapeutic extracellular vesicles from mammalian cells.
