Dr. Yi Liu is a cell culture scientist at the Vaccine Production Program (VPP) of the NIAID Vaccine Research Center, where she leads her team in CHO and HEK293 cell line development to support manufacturing for early-stage clinical testing of mAb and vaccine candidates. Prior to joining the VPP, she was a lead scientist in cell line development at SalubrisBio. She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine studying the emerging Hippo tumor suppressor signaling pathway, and she did her postdoctoral research identifying markers and mechanism of adrenocortical carcinoma at the Endocrine Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute.
