Daniel graduated from the University of Applied Life Sciences in Vienna and is an experienced biotechnology professional. Daniel currently serves as the Head of Upstream Process Development (Director) at Boehringer-Ingelheim, Austria, where he focuses on production processes based on microbial expression systems. Prior to this role, he spent over 14 years at Baxalta/Shire/Takeda in Austria, where he held various positions, including Development Scientist, Lab Lead and Associate Director. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in the development, upscale, and transfer of various recombinant proteins, antibodies, and vaccines, as well as the implementation of new technologies.
