Geoffrey Pot is an experienced biotech professional with over 20 years in the industry, holding degrees in Industrial Pharmacy, and International Management from Vlerick Business School. Throughout his career, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility across Quality, Operational Excellence, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Innovation. As Vice President and General Manager Operations of Takeda’s manufacturing site in Lessines, he leads a team of 1,200 employees dedicated to producing life-transforming treatments for over 250,000 patients worldwide. Passionate about innovation and sustainability, Geoffrey is spearheading efforts to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions at the site by 2030, ahead of Takeda’s global target—a commitment recognized with the title of Belgian Sustainability Ambassador in 2024. He also serves as President of Bio.be/essenscia, the Belgian federation representing biotechnology and life sciences companies, and frequently shares his expertise as a speaker and chair at international conferences.
