Profile

Dmitry Fradkin is a Director at Kite Pharma where he and his team devise, prototype, and test innovative technology applications for improving cell therapy manufacturing and development processes. Prior to joining Kite, he led teams in the cell therapy division of Bristol Myers Squibb that developed data tools and built integrated robotic systems to automate analytical workflows. He has experience as a system designer and software developer, both at a small DARPA-backed company where he was the lead engineer and created custom equipment for performing automated viral evolution studies and testing novel vaccines; as well as at Amgen where he worked on non-destructive particulate analysis and imaging systems which were granted several patents. At Amgen his work led to the first deployment of an automated inspection system in a commercial biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility trained to detect defects using a deep neural network (deep learning).
