Associate Director, Upstream Process Development, Gene Therapy at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical

Jun is currently an Associate Director in Upstream Process Development at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Gene Therapy. Her main responsibilities include process lead for gene therapy programs, process development for early- stage programs, process characterization for late-stage programs, upstream process intensification and platform improvements. Before Ultragenyx, Jun worked at Acceleron Pharma as cell culture group lead for stable cell line development, process development and scale up for more than 20 Fc-Fusion proteins and antibodies. Jun also worked at Bristol Meyers Squib on upstream process development and CUE Biopharma on downstream purification. Jun graduated from Harvard University with a M.A. degree in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering under the supervision of George Church.
