Wendy Acton is the HR Site Head for Amgen’s new advanced product assembly and packaging plant in New Albany, Ohio. Her primary responsibilities include creating and executing the site’s workforce plan and talent strategy, building relationships and collaborations with external organizations, and partnering with the site leadership to define and implement a site vision that drives innovation, growth, and employee engagement, while creating a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Wendy joined Amgen in 2006 as a member of the Human Resources team at the corporate headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California. In her 18 years at Amgen, Wendy has held a variety of roles in Human Resources, supporting various departments and functional areas and leading a team focused on managing employee relations issues in the US, South America, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to Amgen, Wendy was with Merck in West Point, Pennsylvania supporting their diversity and inclusion programs, including oversight of Merck’s collaboration with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).
