Dr. Anette Brass started as a student of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where her interest in Immunology was raised. She followed up on this interest with doctoral studies investigating receptors in the innate immune system. After obtaining her PhD she moved to Sweden to switch focus to T cell immunology during her postdoctoral studies at the Karolinska Institute where she was working with therapeutic DNA vaccines for HCV. More than a decade ago Anette left Academia and joined the Biotech start-up Anocca. This provided a unique opportunity to support the growth of Anocca while growing professionally. Since 2019 Anette is Head of Process Development at Anocca and proud that her work contributed to this years' approval of Anocca's first clinical trial application.
