Carolina is Chief Executive Officer of STAb Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell immunotherapies based on its proprietary STAb-T platform. She leads the company's corporate strategy, fundraising, business development, intellectual property and strategic partnerships, advancing innovative oncology therapies from translational research into clinical development. Carolina has more than 15 years of experience in biotechnology, oncology innovation and technology commercialization. Before joining STAb Therapeutics, she held senior leadership positions at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), where she led innovation, technology transfer and industry partnerships, and at PharmaMar, where she gained experience in oncology drug development from R&D through regulatory approval. She also served as Head of Intellectual Property at Arquimea and as Innovation Strategist at Kaudal, supporting the development, financing and commercialization of deep-tech and life science innovations. Earlier in her career, she was an editor at Nature Medicine, covering translational medicine and cancer research. Carolina holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from NYU School of Medicine, is a 2025 Termeer Fellow and a graduate of the NYU Endless Frontier Labs Program (2026).
