Gunther Busam leads Global Manufacturing Technology & Supply at Orchard Therapeutics, where he is responsible for advancing the manufacturing and supply capabilities required to deliver HSC gene therapies to patients. His experience spans CMC, manufacturing, technical development, supply chain, commercialisation and lifecycle management of advanced therapies. He has a particular interest in the industrialisation of cell and gene therapy—how manufacturing technology, analytics, capacity, quality and treatment delivery need to work as an integrated operating model. His focus is on translating scientific innovation into robust, scalable and economically sustainable commercial supply while maintaining product quality and reliable patient access.
