Rolando Matos is a Senior Bioprocessing Scientist at the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, specialising in upstream process development, process analytical technologies (PAT), automation, and digitalisation for advanced therapy manufacturing. Since joining Catapult in 2021, he has supported the development and translation of cell and gene therapy manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on process understanding, monitoring, and control strategies. His multidisciplinary background spans biotechnology, neuroscience, tissue engineering, bioprocessing, and engineering, enabling the integration of scientific, engineering, and data-driven approaches to accelerate advanced therapy development and manufacture.
