Stephanie Sontag is a senior scientist at Evotec International, where she is working on building an iPSC-derived CAR γδ T cell therapeutic platform. Stephanie has over 10 years of research and development experience in the life sciences, spanning both academic and industry settings, with a focus on pluripotent stem cells and hematopoietic development, genome editing, and stem cell–derived cell therapies. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2017, where her research focused on modelling human dendritic cell development using genetically engineered iPSCs. Stephanie subsequently worked as a Research Scientist at Taconic Biosciences, developing and optimizing CRISPR/Cas genome editing protocols for genetically engineered mouse models, followed by a postdoctoral position at the Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Engineering, where she established qualitative and quantitative epigenetic profiling methods for blood cells.
