WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is designed for people from all industries and sectors, and addresses a range of issues, including unconscious bias, microaggressions and cross-cultural communications. This training moves beyond simply encouraging employees to tolerate differences to teaching employees how to work well together while embracing diverse perspectives.

The course is a MUST-ATTEND for people in management and supervisory roles:

Diversity Managers

Human Resource Directors; Human Resource Employee Relations Professionals

Employee Engagement Professionals

Business Owners

Managers and Supervisors

Any other individual who plays a contributing role within the culture of their organization

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATES


Delegates must meet two criteria to be eligible for an Informa Certificate of Completion for a course:

• Satisfactory attendance – delegates must attend all sessions of the course.
Delegates who miss more than 2 hours of the course sessions will not be eligible to sit the course exam.
• Successful completion of the course assessment.

Delegates who do not meet these criteria will receive an Informa Certificate of Attendance. If delegates have not attended all sessions, the Certificate will clearly state the number of hours attended.

Participants will be trained and developed in key competencies unique to diversity and inclusion in order to be able to:

Identify and communicate the full spectrum of diversity and inclusion concepts

Understand and elaborate on the benefits of diversity and inclusion and what is best for the organization

Acknowledge and address challenges/obstacles/opportunities for healthy diverse and inclusive culture; Have difficult conversations on sensitive issues

Be culturally competent and understand multiple cultural frameworks, values, and norms

Demonstrate an ability to be flexible and effective across cultural contexts

Understand the dynamics of cross-cultural and inclusion related conflicts, tensions, misunderstandings, or opportunities
