Profile
Rob is a Chartered Engineer with nearly fifteen years’ experience across Naval Architecture and Systems Engineering in the nuclear defence and maritime Industries. He holds a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. He started in the defence industry in 2007 as an undergraduate industrial placement taking a voluntary year out. Graduating in 2011 he resumed his career in the defence sector supporting Swiftsure, Trafalgar, Vanguard, Astute, Dreadnaught and AUKUS submarine Classes, at varying stages of their lifecycles. He is a Senior Principal Marine Engineer with CORE POWER, leading a team of mechanical and marine engineers supporting the development of various reactor and interfacing marine systems. He is also a STEM ambassador working with schools and colleges to promote a career in science, technology, engineering and maths.
