Dr Constantina Sampani is a legal consultant and trainer, with many years' notable experience as a practising lawyer and lecturer.
Constantina studied law at the University of Athens. She continued her studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury where she completed an LLM in International and Commercial Law and specialised in Transportation, Finance and Insurance of exports and means of transportation, International Business Transactions and International Commercial Dispute Settlements (Arbitration and Litigation). She also obtained a PhD from Queen Mary College, University of London.
She has a rare combination of experience in practising common and civil law as, after qualifying as a lawyer, she worked for a law firm in the city of London on transnational cases and then joined a legal500 law firm in Athens. She subsequently became a partner of a different law practice.
Constantina has lectured in Admiralty, Shipping Law and International Carriage of Goods in conjunction with Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods in maritime disputes at BCA College in Athens (Greece) which collaborates with London Metropolitan University (UK) at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as delivering interactive training seminars. She is also a course author of Marine Insurance, Maritime Disputes and Arbitration by distance learning for Lloyd’s Maritime Academy.
She has presented papers in international conference proceedings and published in Honorary Volumes.
