The business partnering model in HR was initially developed by Dave Ulrich in the 1990’s and the model has been used extensively by HR functions globally. The aim of the model is for HR to work directly with business heads to provide people solutions to business issues. Its often implemented with a Center of Excellence framework, with strategic support often entered at the head office, with HR service support provided by HR systems and\or call centers. The problem is that the business partner model does not always work, because of the way its structured, the way it’s been implemented and the way HR business partners deliver their role.

Who Should Attend

Course Requirements

Delegates must meet two criteria to be eligible for an Informa Connect Academy Certificate of Completion:

  • Satisfactory attendance - Delegates must attend all sessions of the course. Delegates who miss more than 2 hours of the course sessions will not be eligible to sit the course assessment
  • Successful completion of the course assessment - Assessments will be ongoing and based on in-class participation and activities
