Jeffrey Blum is the fourth generation of a shipping family and has been involved in shipping since 1973. He has been a member of the Baltic Exchange since 1976. He has worked with a Lloyd's underwriter and Lloyd’s broker, as a shipbroker, charterer, ship owner and ship operator, gasoil futures broker and commodities trader, both in London and abroad. He founded his company Interlink International Trading (UK) Ltd in 1994 and is an active maritime commercial claims consultant and arbitrator. He has been lecturing since 1984 on several subjects of Maritime Studies and Law at universities and colleges in London and throughout the UK.
