Dr. Langston Suen is the Founder and CEO of Opharmic Technology (HK) Limited, a Hong Kong medtech pioneer developing ultrasound-based platforms for non-invasive targeted drug delivery and cell stimulation. His flagship innovations-MeticTouch® for needle-free ocular treatments in retinal diseases and MeticStim® for precise cell stimulation-stem from his doctoral research at HKUST (Ph.D., MPhil, and BEng in Chemical and Biomolecular / Nanoparticle Engineering). Deeply motivated by witnessing targeted therapies improve his mother's lung cancer care, he spun out Opharmic from HKUST in 2016-2017 and joined the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Incu-Bio Programme. Under his leadership, the company has achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification (2023), secured major commercial partnerships, won prestigious awards including the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific 2021 Grand Prize, and completed 3 financing rounds.
Beyond Opharmic, Dr. Suen actively mentors and contributes to Hong Kong and Asia's biotech and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
