Profile

Chen Lan brings almost two decades of comprehensive expertise in clinical development and operational management across multinational and domestic pharmaceutical leaders. She currently serves as General Manager of China at Attovia Therapeutics Inc., overseeing national strategy and execution. Concurrently, she holds the position of Vice Committee Chair of the Clinical Research Ethics Subcommittee under the Shanghai Research Hospital Association.

Academically, Ms. Chen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from China Pharmaceutical University, completing a Master program in Public Health from Fudan University, and an EMBA from CEIBS. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Her career spans pivotal roles at CSPC, Kanghong Pharma, Zai Lab, Novartis, Roche,and Sanofi, covering therapeutic areas including oncology, neuroscience, rare diseases, autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and metabolic conditions. She has led full-cycle clinical development—from translational medicine to strategic operations—and is recognized as a core member and former Chair of the DIA Clinical Project Management (CPM) Community, where she also served as a faculty member for training programs.

In research leadership, Ms. Chen is an expert enlisted by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. She managed three National "13th Five-Year Plan" Major Special Projects (e.g., Niraparib for ovarian cancer, Omadacycline for CABP/ABSSSI) and spearheaded five provincial-level projects (CD47, small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, anti-infectives). Additionally, she led 10+ municipal projects funded by the Shanghai Municipal Government and Zhangjiang Science City. Her scholarly contributions include publications in top-tier journals such as Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapyand The Lancet.
