Mia Hu, Investment Director, Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund

Holding a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, The University of Hong Kong. Mia has built a distinguished career that spans both academic research and healthcare investment. Her research at the University of Hong Kong was primarily focused on aging, regenerative medicine, and oncology. Since 2017, Mia has transitioned into the healthcare investment sector, aiming to identify and support groundbreaking technologies in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical devices. As the Investment Director of the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund from 2021, Mia has dedicated her efforts to therapeutic investment and startup incubation in Asia. She currently serves on the boards of Nuevocor and Synthetica Pioneering. In 2022, she also initiated the HKSTP X BIVF co-incubation program, to foster local healthcare innovation.
