Yinfei is a highly accomplished preclinical biologist with strong expertise in preclinical oncology models. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Nottingham, where he conducted extensive research on the role of Helicobacter pylori-stimulated EGF receptor in cancer development.

Following the completion of his doctoral studies, Yinfei joined the Nottingham Ex Vivo Cancer Pharmacology Centre of Excellence as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, receiving funding from the industry. During his tenure there, he made remarkable contributions to the field by spearheading the development of a cutting-edge target validation platform. This platform seamlessly integrated state-of-the-art technologies such as imaging and RNA interference (RNAi), enabling comprehensive validation of pharmaceutical candidates in both in vitro and in vivo settings.

Yinfei's proficiency extends beyond target validation. He has also demonstrated expertise in the creation of bioluminescence and fluorescence reporter constructs, enabling real-time monitoring of crucial biological events in cancer progression, including proliferation, apoptosis, and hypoxia. These pioneering research tools were subsequently commercialized as highly sought-after contract research products.

Yinfei embarked on his career in Contract Research Organizations (CROs) at PRECOS, where he played a pivotal role in the successful development and delivery of a diverse portfolio of in vivo projects. Utilizing advanced models such as metastasis, orthotopic, and GEMM, Yinfei consistently provided invaluable support to clients, facilitating key decision-making processes and propelling drug discovery programs forward.

Before joining ChemPartner, Yinfei was the Head of UK/US Scientific Operations and Head of the Global Imaging Platform at CrownBio. His unwavering dedication to staying at the forefront of scientific advancements was evident in his efforts to expand Crown Bioscience's capabilities through the development of advanced sevice models.
