Profile
Catherine is director of the National Audit Office's environmental and climate change insights programme. She has twenty years' experience in delivering complex, high-impact programmes across government. Before joining the NAO, she led the Mayor of London's environment and climate programme, overseeing and investment portfolio of over £1 billion, and the development of London's Nature Recovery Strategy. As a senior civil servant, she established a major programme on industrial decarbonisation for the UK Department for Business and Energy, and helped to set up the Department for International Trade following the UK's decision to leave the EU. Catherine worked for a decade in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, including postings in Brazil - where she headed the UK's diplomatic efforts and technical assistance programme on economics, finance and energy - and Bulgaria, where she was Deputy Head of Mission.
