Profile
Craig is Director of Impact Assessment and Environment at the Scottish National Investment Bank, where he supports the strategic integration of impact and ESG considerations across the investment lifecycle. He oversees the Bank’s environmental framework across operations and investments, including climate-related disclosures.
He is an internationally recognised sustainability practitioner, bringing over two decades of cross-sector experience spanning infrastructure, sport, energy, finance, and public policy – specialising in climate change and ESG reporting. He led the carbon assessment for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships and during his time at Transport Scotland, played a key role in delivering climate mitigation and adaptation programmes - including a major emissions reduction strategy that reduced trunk road network energy emissions by over 70% in five years.
He also holds advisory roles as a Member of the College of Experts for the Office for Environmental Protection, sits on the Technical Standards Board for Wilder Carbon, and is a Director at the Energy Managers Association. He was formerly a member of PIARC’s Technical Committee on Climate Change & Resilience of Road Networks.
Craig graduated from University of Edinburgh with an MSc in Carbon Management, is a Fellow of the Institution of Environmental Sciences, where he also sits on the policy committee and is both a Chartered Scientist and Chartered Environmentalist.
