Associate Director, CDD&T Plain Language Summaries Program Lead at MSD

Maureen is the Clinical Data Disclosure and Transparency Health Literacy Projects Lead at MSD. She is responsible for Protocol and Results Plain Language Summaries, Merck’s Health Literate Glossary, as well as other initiatives focused on incorporating Health Literacy principles and best practices into patient and public communications. With 19+ years in the pharmaceutical industry she has cross divisional experience in clinical research, regulatory, safety, and project management. She co-chairs the DIA Plain Language Summary Working Group, is a member of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials (MRCT) Center Glossary Expansion Development team and is a member of the EFPIA joint sub-team on Patient Friendly Language. Maureen is a Nurse and passionate about working to ensure people feel empowered with the information they need to make health decisions and manage their overall health.
