Profile

Beth Wilson-Jordan is a Senior Associate recruiter with Flagship Management, LLC, Vice President of CMA, and Executive Director of the CMA Education Foundation. With more than 30 years of executive level maritime business and leadership experience, her combined industry experience and network encompass all sectors of the industry including vessel operators, brokerage and chartering, marine fuel, maritime consulting, teaching and nonprofit boards.


Beth’s professional experience includes serving as the President and two-time Vice President of the Connecticut Maritime Association, (CMA) Inc’s Board of Governors, and Executive Director and former Board member of the CMA Education Foundation which she helped to create in 2011. She has been an active member of the CMA for the past 30 years. Her maritime experience includes nearly 10 years recruiting, 8 years with Trans-Tec Services (World Fuel Services) in marine fuels and lubricants, 2 years supervising barge, truck and rail operations for Allied Signal, 2 years of consulting to port authorities and shipping companies for Booz Allen & Hamilton and 2 years in defense contracting support for the Merchant Ship Naval Augmentation Program and Ready Reserve Fleet.


Beth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point and a Masters of Science degree in Transportation Management from the State University of New York Maritime College Graduate Program where she later taught as an adjunct professor. She held a U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate’s License, Unlimited Tonnage, All Oceans and served as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Beth is a member of the CMA and WISTA.


For fun, Beth combines her passions for people, teaching and volleyball and serves as a high school women’s head coach and club volleyball coach. Beth, a mother of three daughters, is married to tanker broker Larry Jordan, and they reside in Stamford, CT.
