Mary McCarthy is the Director of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility for Moran Towing Corporation, a 160-year-old marine transportation company operating vessels on the U.S. East Coast and Gulf Coast. Mary has 19 years of experience in the tugboat, towboat, and barge industry, serving in various operations, safety, and regulatory roles for Canal Barge Company, the American Waterways Operators, and Associated Terminals/Turn Services. Mary has served on the boards of the Seamen’s Church Institute and the Gulf Intracoastal Canal Association, and is Co-Founder/President of ADMIRALTY, a networking group for young people in the maritime industry. Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Mary Washington and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Orleans.
