Group Manager, Competition and Regulatory Cooperation at ICO

Andrew Thomsen is Group Manager of the ICO’s Competition and Regulatory Cooperation team. This team manages policy development in areas where the ICO’s remit interacts with other regulatory regimes, such as digital regulation (including through the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum), competition and financial services. Through this cooperation, the ICO looks to maximise its regulatory effectiveness and ensure that data protection regulation is empowering both businesses and people to use information effectively.
