John Hammersley is a Compliance Officer with over 20 years experience. Having started his career in consulting with Deloitte advising on compliance frameworks, regulatory change and policy, he has spent the last 14 years in senior in-house roles with Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC, most recently joining Santander at the end of 2023 as UK Director of Compliance Advisory. His experience includes Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance leadership within the Retail Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Wealth as well as Commercial and Corporate Banking sectors.
